Chemical Technology Institute of TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center was established in January 2009 when the two working groups under the “Chemistry and Environment Institute” of Marmara Research Center were separated.
In parallel with the goals of TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center, the Chemical Technology Institute aims to meet the needs of its all stakeholders, particularly the Turkish industry, in chemical technologies in accordance with national and international standards timely, duly and completely. Thanks to its structure, it combines scientific researches with commercial-industrial activities and plays an important role in the improvement of the global competitive power of Turkey through sustainable development.
The Chemical Technology Institute conducts its research and development activities with an experienced and qualified staff. Currently the institute has been conducting many public (TARAL) projects, foreign-funded industrial projects and two test-analysis projects.
