Thermal Analysis Laboratory is equipped with the instruments to determine thermal and mechanical properties of organic and polymeric materials as a function of temperature and time. Thermal characterization of polymeric materials such as thermoplastics, thermosets as well as chemicals used in drug, food and textile industries is performed. Loss of weight, decomposition temperature, adsorption – desorption, phase transitions, heat capacity and glass transition temperature measurements as a function of time and temperature are carried out. The laboratory also supports R&D studies at Universities.
